Survival Swim Lessons for Babies and Children 6 months-6 years old

Prince William ISR

Abby Markham, ISR Instructor

I teach private, one-on-one survival swimming lessons for children ages 6 months to 6 years in Montclair (summer) and Dumfries, VA (school year). Lessons are designed to give children life-saving water skills while building confidence and independence in a safe, nurturing environment. Each lesson is personalized to your child’s age, abilities, and comfort level, and consistency is key to success. Watching children gain the ability to safely navigate the water—and seeing the pride and confidence on their faces—is what makes my work so rewarding.

PARENT TESTIMONIALS

I highly recommend ISR swim lessons! Abby is amazing. My 9 month old did lessons and he can float/save himself if he fell in. My 5 year old did lessons with her and was swimming like a fish in a few weeks!

As a parent, my 1st priority is the safety of my children. My 4 year old has been drawn to the water since birth so we tried some of the bigger swim lessons and found our kids were spending that time socializing and playing. My kids progressed more in ISR lessons in 1 week than in years at other lessons. They went from not wanting to put their faces in the water to swimming/floating across the pool. My husband and I were incredibly impressed with how Abby adapted between our 2 kids (who have drastically different personalities and motivation styles). Both can now safely swim and float but the 4 year old developed a true love of swimming and now wants nothing more than to be in the pool (might even pick swimming over ice cream, and that is saying a lot for a kid that is obsessed with ice cream). I have already recommended Abby to numerous friends and regularly show off video of my little fish (age 4) swimming around and my laid back otter (age 6) floating through the water happily.
